Boy Scouts at Camp Daniel Boone near Asheville are being checked for swine flu after 19 Scouts were sent home with flu symptoms last week. Camp executive Connie Bowes says no new cases were reported Monday.

The camp hosts a new group of about 700 campers from across the country each week.

Bowes said 38 Scouts and staff reported flu-like symptoms last week. The sick staff members are in the middle of a seven-day quarantine. The sick Scouts came from Palm Beach County, Fla. and Dunwoody, Ga. The assistant leader of the Dunwoody troop says seven of his Scouts have tested positive for swine flu. The flu was introduced by a visiting troop, but camp officials don’t know which one.

Bowes says health officials recommended checking boys daily with infrared thermometers. Staff are tested twice a day.
